Fiction Records - Japanese Voyeurs - Promo Campaign

The following pieces are taken from a brief set by Fiction Records to create a set of Virals to promote a Grunge act named Japanese Voyeurs.

I used this brief for my final major project at university and extended it to cover print and an online interactive video.


The style was focused on the the bands interest in horror films and 'sleazy' imagery.

D&AD - LBi (Lost Boys International)

The objective for this breif was to explore the acronym of LBI as an anti corporate/captalist movement. The aim of this direction will be to poke fun at the at the companies mission statement 'Building Believable Brands'.


The type for each strap line will be hand made from data cable and will be presented like a circuit, so as to put across the idea of a system. The imagery also has religious connotations to communicate the idea of a new consumer religion.

Magma Books - Re-Branding

My concept for this brief was to create an advertising campaign which introduces the MAGMA book store as a broadcasting network.

For inspiration I have looked at 1970's movies, in particular the movie Network and 1970's graphic design. I combined strong photographic visuals with minimal vector graphics based on my research and the concept of broadcast communication.

Electronic Media Unit - Magic Arm - Daft punk Is Playing At My House - Interactive Music Video

The aim for this project was to create an interactive music video for the underground Electro Folk artist 'Magic Arm'. I chose to film the artist playing the instruments in the style of a Jazz club performance using moods and colors to reflect the 60's Jazz style.

Visual Practice Unit - Values

The aim for this unit was to explore different mediums within art and design through development of sketch books and other mediums. The brief required me to base a project on particular values found in modern society, using a medium of your choice.

For this project I chose current events i.e. the economic downturn and produced a political poster campaign done in an 'agitated propaganda' style news broadcast.

The objective for this brief was to create a poster campaign for the charity 'Create Not Hate. The target audience was people over the age of 25 working in the creative industries, these posters would need to communicate to this audience that the younger generation in Britain had creative potential.

World Market Unit - Branding & Advertising

The objective for this brief was to create a graphic identity for the purposed flagship store for a merger between iD & Wallpaper Magazines in New York. Then to design an advertising campaign to launch the store. It had to be British and quirky in essence. The market would be 18-35 single, disposable incomes, intelligent, sophisticated, visually literate and culturally diverse.
